Since returning to Emmerdale, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) has demonstrated that her iconic ability to manipulate a situation to her advantage is well and truly intact — and her manipulation is set to continue in the coming episodes, as she spies an opportunity to get her hands on some cash.
Vinny (Bradley Johnson) goes out of his way to help Samson (Sam Hall) with a project, and Mandys interest is piqued in said project when she realises that the first prize is £5,000. Later, a mysterious solicitor arrives at the Dingle household, and Mandy reluctantly invites him in.
The solicitor informs Mandy that Lydia (Karen Blick) has been gifted a huge sum of money and — following this revelation — the Dingle legend is determined to get her hands on the cash.
As a result, she pretends to be Lydia, and proceeds to flirt with the solicitor in order to get what she wants.

However, whilst shes doing so, Lydia and Sam (James Hooton) arrive back and thus interrupt proceedings — and Mandy is left feeling guilty as a result.
