Robert Sugden knows a liar when he sees one and it’s no secret that Lachlan White has displayed dangerous, unhinged and threatening behaviour in the past in Emmerdale. Now that Robert is putting two and two together and suspecting that the damaged youngster caused the crash which killed Chrissie and Lawrence and seriously injured Rebecca, will he hit upon the truth?

Robert’s head is all over the place after witnessing the carnage and seeing Lawrence and Chrissie die and now he is fearing that his baby son Seb is going to be left without a mother as Rebecca remains in a coma with internal bleeding.

However, after venting to Diane, he caught sight of Lachlan and recalled both him yelling sorry repeatedly to a dead Chrissie and how he reacted when he first saw that she could be dead. Remembering that the car suddenly veered without any reason into the path of the lorry, Robert is now of the belief that Lachlan caused the terrible accident.

In the past, Robert has been on the receiving end of a deadly threat from Lachlan and also saw him threatening to kill Lawrence. With all of this in mind, he knows that if anyone is capable of this kind of bloodbath then it is Lachlan.

Will Robert be the one to bring him to justice? Or will Lachlan use the grief and horror of the situation to paint himself as the victim?
