Emmerdales Andrew Scarborough has revealed that viewers will get a glimpse into his characters dark past in Tuesdays episode of Emmerdale.
Andrew, who plays the mysterious Graham Foster on the soap, revealed on Lorraine that the special flashback episode took weeks to film. The hour of Emmerdale will be dedicated to exploring the loss of Grahams wife and child on the anniversary of their deaths.
[On the surface Graham] is very calm and all together, Andrew said but inside he is a beast and you get to see that mental state. Two weeks of being quite depressed and being in that state to film it, and being drunk for that long is difficult.
Although Grahams past has been hinted at in previous episodes, its the first time that viewers will see the impact that Grahams drinking had on his life.

Its horrific and explains why hes got the air he has now as he is full of remorse and guilt, said Andrew.
Ten years after the accident that cost Graham everything, the character will begin drinking again and cause chaos in the village. When Joe Tate steps in, events take a violent turn.
[The] poor guy is trying to help me but we dont know if hes going to make it, Andrew said, of Grahams attack on Joe.
The actor added that the special episode was a chance to explore the safari in Grahams head as he struggled to come to terms with a loss of his own making.
Its brutal, Andrew said be warned.
Andrew has also acted in Coronation Street and Downton Abbey and praised both shows during the interview.
”I got to work with Maggie Smith, who is one of my heroines, he said of working on Downton Abbey so it was very nerve wracking but brilliant.
