The star made a name for himself in the K-pop band, although his last outing with the troop was on their 2016 single Lotto.

Since then he has focused on the Chinese market, striking out as an actor and television personality.

Hes also since released solo music, having dropped several of his own albums and topped Chinese charts. Now hes ready go to solo at US festival Lollapalooza in Chicago, joining DJ Alan Walkers set during the Friday of the event.

Lay said: Its my first time performing at a festival in the US, and also my first collaboration with Alan Walker. I hope the audience will enjoy this live performance, and that more and more people will remember me, the Chinese artist Lay Zhang.

Walker also took to Instagram to share his happiness at their partnership: Happy to announce that [Zhang] will be joining me on the Lollapalooza show in Chicago this Friday!.
