Normani Kordei has said announcing that Fifth Harmony would be going on an indefinite hiatus was the one of toughest days.
The girl group made the heartbreaking announcement last month to the dismay of their loyal fans.
Fifth Harmony – comprised of Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane and Ally Brooke – came together during the second season of American X Factor in 2012.
Camila Cabelo was also a member before she left to go solo in 2016.
[It was] very scary, Kordei shared with ET. And heartbreaking for me personally. The first day that we even put out the announcement for the hiatus, it was the toughest day.
The 21-year-old singer said the hardest part was all speculation and comments made about the girls.
So many people saying, “Oh my god, what happened? Whats wrong?” she shared. Just having that attention on something that you already know is real and the fact that now everybody else knows its real, its like, “Wow, this is really happening”.

The band released a Twitter statement on 19 March, letting their fans know that they would be going their separate ways for some time to pursue solo endeavors after six years together.
But Normani is looking forward to finding her own feet while in pursuit of her own solo sound – so the 5H army need not worry.
Its a discovery for myself, you know? There are so many people that are excited for me, trying to see, “Oh, what is she gonna do next? What does Normani sound like?” she added. Im still trying to figure that out.
Recently, Normani talked to Beats 1 on Apple Music about her new hit single Love Lies with rising star Khalid and her forthcoming debut album.
Its always kind of scary, she admitted. Every time we put something out individually, its like, “Oh shoot! All eyes are on me!”
