Gary Neville has criticised Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno – and the entire back-line – for their performances against Tottenham in the north London derby on Sunday.

Spurs took a two goal lead at the Emirates, with Leno palming a tame shot into the path of Christian Eriksen for the opening goal before a rash challenge from Granit Xhaka gave Harry Kane the chance to double the lead from the spot.

Although Arsenal fought back to draw 2-2, Neville was concerned by the way Arsenal defended and how easily Spurs countered throughout and feels a new centre-back is still needed, while he is not convinced by Leno.

Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast after the game, he explained: Today you talk about the threat, the intensity, good parts of the game, you still have to mention the fact that they look sloppy and rash at the back.

We talked about the goalkeepers mistake, I dont quite trust him, I dont think hes anywhere near the class of the other top goalkeepers we have in the league.

The two centre-backs, theyre rash. You could argue that Hector Bellerins got to come back in, that Rob Holdings got to come back in, Kieran Tierneys got to come back in. So that back four can be strengthened.

But you still fear that that back four will always still not be good enough for where Arsenal want to be, and they somehow from somewhere need to unearth a centre-back thats going to hold that back-line together.
