There was a violent confrontation as Chloe desperately tried to escape – and when Ange (Dawn Steele) and Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) got to the scene they found Evan with a knife sticking out of his chest. A short distance away, Chloe was lying barely conscious herself. She told Ange that shed stabbed Evan. What had happened just before Ange and Fletch arrived wasnt shown – but when Ange asked Chloe if Evan had raped her, Chloes look indicated that he had.

Meanwhile back at Holby a surgical team including Chloes mother Ange battle to save Evans life. Weve already seen Anges determination not to let Evan die, when he threatened to pull the knife out of his own chest knowing he would bleed out. If he dies, Ange knows that Chloe could be held responsible for his death and shes desperately trying to protect her daughter from any more harm. On the other hand if Evan survives, hes extremely manipulative and will probably try to say that Chloe attacked him with the screwdriver and he was only trying to defend himself – which is why the screwdriver is currently in Anges desk drawer.

Is Evans reign of terror going to end with his death? And if he dies, will Chloe find herself on a manslaughter charge? How far will Ange go to protect her daughter?
