Holby City welcomes back Joseph Burns (played by Luke Roberts) and Faye Morton (Patsy Kensit) in scenes due to air tonight, reigniting an explosive love triangle with Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) in the process.

As the soap continues its 20th-anniversary celebrations, actor Luke teased tense scenes and unfinished business between Joseph and Jac.

Luke talked about Josephs marriage to Faye, telling Lorrain: That is a triumph in itself but of course that creates tension between himself and Jac, more than tension.

They were married then they obviously separated in the backstory. Well discover in tonights episode that hes had another marriage and theres a story there.

Its been almost 10 years since Joseph roamed the wards and he enthused that coming back to the soap felt like coming home.

Had I known that Jac broke down in that way, I never would have left, he laughed as a teaser clip of the episode played.

She does a fantastic job. Its been great.

Tonights episode sees Faye appear in the ward after being transferred from St Jamess due to floods.

Poor Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) is caught in the middle of Faye and Jacs crossfire, rapidly picking up on the bitchy comments, stolen glances and undercurrents swirling around Fayes bedside.

Joseph is reminded of his old life at Holby and the intense passion between him and Jac, will he be able to walk away again?

Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
