Although theyre a group, the boys all have their own distinct identities and characteristics. Find out about on of them – J.Hope.
J-Hope was born Jung Hoseok and is one of the main dancers in the group, as well as acting as the lead rapper and sub vocalist.
The 23-year-old was born in Gwangju, which is in the south-west corner of the country, and his birthday is 18 February 1994.
He chose the stage name J-Hope because he wants to be a source of hope to the BTS Army, which is what they call their fans.
Before BTS, Hoseok was part of a dance troupe called Neuron, and his success led him to audition as an idol trainee.
