James Maddison has stressed that he wants to play at the highest level after he was heavily linked with Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old had an outstanding debut season in the Premier League, notching up seven goals and seven assists for Leicester City across the 2018/19 campaign.
Gareth Southgate rewarded Maddison with a call-up for Englands Euro 2020 qualifiers this month and the midfielder was an unused substitute in the sides 4-0 thumping of Bulgaria on Saturday evening.
Maddisons form has caught the attention of the Premier Leagues heavyweights, as well as Southgate, with United reportedly weighing up a move for the Leicester No.10 in the summer.

While Maddison has previously played down the rumours, he claims he has ambitions to compete at the highest possible level in the future.
I want to play at the highest level my ability will allow me to, Maddison told The Daily Mirror.
I like to think Ive my head screwed on with the transfers Ive made.
Ive played League One, in Scotland, the Championship and the Premier League. I worked my way up.
Last month, Leicester hero Steve Walsh insisted Maddison was happy at the King Power Stadium despite a dream move to United failing to materialise.
Hes happy where he is, thats number one, Walsh told Express Sport.
And I think hes grateful that Leicester gave him a chance in the Premier League because he was playing for Norwich and, OK, doing very well, but its a big step up.
