Jared Leto has caught the eye of many a Marvel fan with a snap on the set of Marvels Morbius The Living Vampire.

We were not prepared in the slightest.

The Suicide Squad star, whos set to star as the lead in the Spiderman spin-off, shared a snap of himself shirtless, gazing at the camera with a touch of blood (fake, we hope) dripping from his mouth.

Balancing out the menacing look, the 47-year-old held up a huge piece of rainbow cake.

What else would vampires be snacking on?!

Jared joins Matt Smith and Adria Arjona for the upcoming flick, which will see biochemist Michael Morbius attempting to cure himself of a rare blood disease.

Instead, he accidentally infects himself with a form of vampirism.

Weve all been there, right?

The star was recently spotted donning an orange prison jumpsuit as he filmed in Manchester, while Matt rocked a shirt and tie.

The film crew had jazzed up the city to look like the Big Apple, and brought yellow taxis, blue US Mail postboxes and newsstands packed with copies of the likes of US Today and The New York Times.

Stevenson Square and Oldham Street were looking distinctly American, and the crew had even created a fake subway station called Front Street.

Fans are hoping it will be a more successful shot at a comic book based film, after many were left unimpressed by the Thirty Seconds To Mars frontmans take on the Joker in Suicide Squad, and plans for a solo film spin-off were abandoned.

Instead, Joaquin Phoenix is set to take to the screen as The Clown Prince of Crime in The Joker.

Director Todd Philips has branded the film a tragedy rather than a comic book movie, with the flick set to focus on Arthur Fleck, the man behind the iconic Batman villain.
