John Krasinski revealed hes been mind-tricked into wanting to write a sequel to A Quiet Place.
If thats what it takes, then were on board.
The writer and actor, who directed and starred in the 2018 thriller alongside his wife Emily Blunt, never planned or wanted to write a sequel to the horrifying flick, but was outwitted.
He explained: I know that when you have a success like this, everyone wants to make another one. I told them to go find another filmmaker and writer, and they said, “But dont you have an idea?”
I said, “Yeah, I have a tiny idea,” so they said, “OK, while were talking to other people, keep thinking about it”. They basically mind-tricked me into wanting to write it.

Pointing out that most sequels rely on the return of either a hero or villain, he added to Deadline: We have the exact opposite setup. We have the world, and you can drop whoever you want into that world and everyone feels connected to it.
The reason I decided to go back, in the end, was this world is so rich, and its so much fun to explore.
Following creatures which hunt using their acute sense of sound, the film sees the family forced to live silently, in a post-apocalyptic reality – and its creepy AF.
It hugely exceeded expectations at the box office, earning $50.3 million (£39.2 million) during its opening weekend, according to Variety.
The high-concept thriller, which largely focuses on the relationship between the parents and their two kids, played by Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, was Johns love letter to his kids.
