Pusha T revealed Kanye West paid tens of thousands for a photograph of Whitney Houstons bathroom filled with drug paraphernalia.

The rapper revealed in an interview that Yeezy paid $85,000 (£63,500) for his Daytona album cover. The picture is from 2006 and shows the late singers bathroom.

Houston had battled a drug addiction for a number of years before her death in February 2012, and the infamous pap was taken by one of Houstons family members. The room allegedly contained a crack smoking pipe, white powder, alcohol and a spoon.

Speaking to Angie Martinez, Pusha T said West had called him in the middle of the night because he wasnt feeling the album cover they had chosen, and wanted to change the artwork at the last minute.

West offered an expensive alternative, and Pusha initially said he didnt want to pay for the photo. So the Monster rapper forked out the money instead.

He said: One am my phone rings. No caller ID. [He says] Hey, yeah, I think we should change the artwork. And I like this other artwork. And this other artwork is 85 grand…I said “Hey, I dont want to pay for that and I wasnt even going to ask you to pay for that. We picked what we picked, its here, its ready.”

Kanye apparently responded by saying the photo was what people needed to see”.

He said: “No, this is what people need to see to go along with this music. Imma pay for that. I say, You my man! You my man!.”

In the end, Pusha was won over by it.

I love it, I actually do love it, he said.

The record was originally going to be called King Push, but was later changed to Daytona. The record, which will feature West and Rick Ross, will be released this week.
