London Fields received some pretty poor reviews from its opening weekend, and director Mathew Cullen agrees with them.
The Guardian gave it two stars, Thrillist called it a flop, its got a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the weekends takings prove it was not a popular flick – taking just $262 (£202) per screen, making it the worst box office opening of all time.
So the general feeling seems to be its not exactly the best movie, and director Mathew Cullen has bravely agreed, even confessing he kept his name on the project despite the offer of working under a pseudonym and hiding his identity so that hed be able to talk about it.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Cullen said: Ive read the reviews. I agree with them.
The movie was filmed in 2013 but only received a recent release due to lawsuits between the studio, the director and Amber Heard.

Producers claimed Cullen violated his contract by not producing the movie on budget and on time, while Heard was also embroiled in a $10million (£7.7million) lawsuit over claims she refused to promote the movie at the Toronto Film festival and thus breaching her contract.
Cullen added to THR: Theres a reason why they said that Amis book was unadaptable.
Confessing he could have changed his name but chose not to, the director explained: Under DGA rules, I could have used a pseudonym, but in that process, I wouldnt ever be allowed to talk about the film again and I wouldnt have had the ability to release my version of the film.
The movie sees Heard as Clairvoyant femme fatale Nicola Six, who has been living with a dark premonition of her impending death by murder. She begins a tangled love affair with three different men, one of whom she knows will be her murderer.
