The Lion King director reveals how he convinced Beyonce to play Nala as he praises her unique talent

Anyone hoping to cast Beyoncé in their upcoming movie, listen up, because the director of the upcoming Lion King remake has revealed how he got the superstar on board.

Turns out its actually really easy.

All you have to do is recognise her incredible talent (which we obvs already do) and then simply reach out to her people.

Oh and have an incredible project to pitch with the backing of a major corporation like Disney.

Turns out it was really The Lion Kings story and her own motherhood that drew the singer to play Nala. Jon explained: I think that part of it is that shes got young kids, part of it is that its a story that feels good for this phase of her life and her career.

Its a very positive story, its a classic that a lot of people feel very emotionally invested in — and I think she just really likes the original very much.
