Manchester City are preparing a bid for rising star Hakon Evjen, according to reports.
The 19-year-old winger has risen through the Norways youth ranks on the international stage and is a regular with Bodo/Glimt this season, who are currently top of the Eliteserien.
Evjen has scored nine goals in 19 appearances for the Norwegian side and has been scouted by Manchester United in recent months.
With the youngster quickly earning a reputation with the biggest clubs, City are poised to make a move for Evjen in January.
The Daily Mail claim City want to snap up the teenager when the winter window opens, but will face competition from Anderlecht and AZ Alkmaar, as well as teams in Germany and Italy.
United too could challenge City for Evjens signature, should the Red Devils firm up their interest.
A switch to United might appeal to Evjen, with fellow Norwegian Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge at Old Trafford.
