Marcos Rojo claims either Manchester United or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer blocked his move to Everton this summer but says he could leave Old Trafford in January.

The Argentine defender, who joined United from Sporting Lisbon in 2014, has fallen out of favour at the Theatre of Dreams.

Rojo has made over 100 appearances for the Premier League club but endured a hugely frustrating campaign last season, making just two starts amid a number of injury battles.

Everton expressed interest in bringing Rojo to Merseyside during the summer transfer window but the 29-year-old says his move was blocked.

I had the possibility of going to Everton, but due to the decisions of the club or the manager it wasnt possible, he told Argentine outlet Ole.

Now I have to fight until December and, if it doesnt work out, I will try to leave.

The qualifiers and the Copa America are coming and I want to be part of that. I dont want to be out again, I want to exhaust all the possibilities and compete to be here.
