Nadine Coyle – who was basically all of Girls Aloud anyway as she got the group’s best parts – has admitted she’ll be bringing the band back when she tours the UK later this year.
‘This is giving them [the fans] what they want,’ Nadine, 32, has insisted.
It transpired in a recent interview with The Sun that Nadine feels pressure to breathe new life into the band’s famous songs herself, because the other four girls have refused to reunite.
‘I love the Girls Aloud songs and get messages from fans asking to hear them performed live again,’ she said in the recent interview.
Girls Aloud split in 2013 on the final night of their 10 year anniversary tour, and since then, there has been a distinct split between best friends Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley, and Sarah and Nadine.
Cheryl recently posted this cutting image on Instagram with only Nicola and Kimberley, with a revealing caption.
Nadine has released several solo singles since her Girls Aloud days, although only one has broken into the top 20.
On the other hand, Cheryl has had five number one singles and since the birth of her baby Bear, has been back in the recording studio working on new material.
Sarah won last year’s series of Celebrity Big Brother, and Kimberley has worked in television as a presenter.
There’s been other reasons for fans’ excitement to go into overdrive too, as Cheryl and best friend Nicola Roberts have teased selfies from a recording studio.
‘I never say this but just for this one time – watch out!!,’ Nicola teased. The duo are recording new music with producer Naughty Boy.
Nadine goes on tour between 10 May – 20 May and will perform in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, London, Dublin and Belfast.
She’s expected to play Girls Aloud hits including Love Machine, Sound Of The Underground and Call The Shots.
