Chloe is struggling to come to terms with her Huntingtons Disease diagnosis, and her life starts to spiral downwards.

And as she goes off the rails – having recently been arrested for stealing the Ramsay Street sign after a night of drinking to drown her sorrows – could she take things one step too far?

The Brennan sister starts up a little side business this week in taking her mind off her secret, charging men to take her on dates. Could she become a fully fledged escort? It could be another first for Neighbours.

Its a little more innocent than that thankfully, April insisted to Metro.co.uk. It starts out with Chloe going on a date but with her illness shes sort of all over the place and figures “why not, what have I got to lose?” At the end of a date he offers her money for a cab and she realises later its a lot more cash than she realised.

And getting a taste for it, Chloe doesnt stop there.

Shes asked out on a date by a friend of that man who says “my friend had such a great time with you Id love to hang out with you and Ill pay you if you like.” She thinks “Why not? I need to pay my mum back and maybe I have less time than I thought.”

It becomes a little business before she knows it. Shes very clear its nothing romantic or intimate, its strictly just talking and she becomes a bit of an agony aunt for someone going through a tough time, maybe a bit lonely. Shes just someone to talk to.

Could Chloe be on a slippery slope to taking things too far? Surely its a matter of time before she crosses the line.

Elsewhere, Chloe is still coming to terms with her disease, and is rocked when mum Faye starts to show signs of having it too.

Its been really full on and its been a dream getting to work with Alan Fletcher [Karl Kennedy] so much, April confessed. Its a bit of a pinch me moment. Its nice showing another side to Chloe, the less upbeat side.

Chloe decided not to tell her brothers because she doesnt want to ruin the joy of David and Aarons big day and the family coming together. She feels it would be selfish to tell them and keeps it to herself, shes basically carrying the burden alone with just Doctor Karl by her side.

April added shes put a lot of research into getting the role right.

Ive done a lot of research to make sure we do it justice. Its something not many people are aware of, its got a very low awareness, so I wanted to make sure we portrayed it sensitively and accurately, Im grateful weve had the opportunity to shed some light on this disease.

Scenes air from Monday 20 August at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
