Niall Horan is set to pour his heart out on his anticipated new album, which will feature an Adele-style ballad inspired by a recent break-up.
The former One Direction singer hosted an intimate album playback session at The Electric Room in London on Thursday evening, where he played four tracks from his second LP.
A particular ballad that was played at the session, Put A Little Love On Me, was co-written by renowned songwriter Greg Kurstin, who has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney and Adele, so its safe to say our Niall is in good hands.
And after hearing the track, we can vouch that its a tear-jerker.
Speaking at the playback, Niall described the ballad as his favourite song [hes] ever written, and revealed he put pen to paper after going through a recent break-up.

It was very real to go through and sit at the piano to write it and speak it, the singer explained.
And he had just one request when working with Greg: I want you to Adele the s**t out of this ballad.
Oh, no pressure then.
While he didnt go into detail about the recent break-up, Niall was most recently linked to actress Hailee Steinfeld whom he split from in December 2018.
Earlier during the playback, Niall, 25, gave us a first listen of his upcoming single, Nice To Meet Ya, a big anthem thats undoubtedly set to become a hit.
In his own words, he wanted to make the craziest song we can make.
The Slow Hands singer also admitted that hes been itching to get back to the stage after seeing the success of newer acts such as Lewis Capaldi and Billie Eilish.
Niall confirmed his new music is on the way in string of tweets earlier this week, which said: Im so happy I wrote my first record Flicker. It represented how I felt at the time, what I wanted my intro to solo artistry to sound like, my musical influences came alive in the record.
To top it off it reached a lot more people than I thought it would when I was writing it as its very different to whats out there in the charts these days. Thank you so much for making my dreams come true and really taking it on board.
