Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer unleashed a furious tirade at his players after they failed to beat Southampton at the weekend, reportedly labelling their performance a joke.

The Red Devils went ahead at St Marys but were pegged back by Jannik Vestergaards second-half header, while they could not break down the hosts after they were reduced to 10 men late on.

According to The Sun, Solskjaer was livid with the teams performance and let his players know it in the dressing room afterwards.

Although he did not single out any players by name during his rant, he made it clear that he felt some of the squad were not putting in enough effort and were letting the rest of the side down.

He was also annoyed that much of the work hed done in training in the lead up to the match went out the window when the players stepped on the pitch, not implanting the plans they had concocted.
