Things are getting ugly between Rage Against The Machine and Nigel Farage.
The band have issued a cease and desist letter to the UKIP leader over his use of a play on their name for the title of his podcast.
The politician launched his podcast in March on LBC digital radio and named it Farage Against The Machine. And while most people love a pun, that is not one that flies.
Instead, theyve branded him and his show the antithesis of what RATM stands for.
In a cease and desist letter issued to Nigel Farage, seen by The Blast, they wrote: As you should know, RATM has publicly denounced the type of right-wing ideology you espouse for decades.
Your anti-immigrant rhetoric, lack of social compassion and barely disguised racism and xenophobia are the antithesis of what RATM stands for.

They went on to implore that he stop using their name and logo, and focus his trolling elsewhere.

Thus, your surprising attempt to associate yourself with RATM is wholly inappropriate and completely inexplicable, unless its part of some kind of bizarre cleansing ritual, it said. Whatever the motivation, please stop. Stop using RATMs name and logo, change the name of your podcast and find some other target to troll. We suggest President Trump.
In March, when the podcast first aired, the band dubbed Nigel a pissweasle for using their moniker.

This pissweasel IS the machine – peddling the sort of inane, blame-heavy bullshit that the guys in @RATM have been raging against since day one…#FuckNigelFarage
