Reese Witherspoon has dropped some teasers for the upcoming Legally Blonde 3 and it sounds exciting.

The 42-year-old will reprise her much-loved role as Harvard law graduate, Elle Woods in the hit rom-com franchise, 17 years after the original hit cinemas.

While she isnt able to reveal plot details just yet, Reese did tell Entertainment Tonight that she and the rest of the Legally Blonde team met recently to discuss which direction the anticipated sequel will take.

Reese teased: Oh its gonna be so fun! I got to go to a meeting the other day where we talked about all the new plot points and all the characters and some returning characters and some new characters.

Legally Blonde 3 is expected for release on Valentines Day 2020.

Reese confirmed the sequel back in June, with a video of her in character as Elle, laying on a lilo in the pool while wearing a two-piece pink bikini and sunglasses.

Classic Elle.

The actress captioned the clip: Its true #LegallyBlonde3.

The original Legally Blonde was released in 2001 and grossed more than $180 million worldwide. The sequel, Legally Blonde: Red, White and Blonde, followed in 2003. A stage musical was put into production on Broadway in 2007.

Actor Matthew Davis, who played Warner Huntington III in the first film, recently hinted he could be signing up for the sequel.

Matthew told ET in July: I would love to see something where perhaps Warner is married to a politician, to a woman whos running for office, and hes sort of like a kept man.

And her opponent is another candidate, and the person running the campaign is Elle Woods. So its Elle Woods driving this campaign against the wife of Warner.

Sounds perfect to us!
