Its believed Beyonce and Ariana Grande were paid the same amount for performing at Coachella, after Beyonce fans fumed over rumours Ariana was paid double.

The Beyhive swarmed very loudly over previous reports that the 7 Rings singer pocketed a whopping $8million (£6,111,280) for her headlining gig when Queen Bey only received $4 million (£3,078,800).

Well, have no fear Hivers because, according to The Blast, the numbers are only half true and Beyonces dedicated fan base can relax now.

The publication reports that Bey did indeed get $4 million, but for each weekend – in case you missed it, headliners tend to perform twice in two weeks – meaning she took home a reported $8 million.

Ari, who is set to hit the stage again after her headline last weekend will reportedly bag her second $4 million from Chella.

The rumours of the double payment did not go well with many online users who just watched Beyonces 2017 set again this week for the newly released Netflix special Homecoming.

Its sick to pay her more… she mostly just reused the sweetener tour while Bey worked harder on #BeyonceHomecoming than anyone has in life. And disrespectful to call it Arichella. It aint [sic]

Its so irritating to know Ariana Grande got paid 8 million to be at Coachella and Beyoncé only got 4 mil [sic], wrote another.

Only two years ago, the man who co-founded Coachella, Paul Tollett, revealed that acts typically earn between $3-5 million (£2.5-3.8million) for a headline slot.

Ariana was announced for Day 3 of the two-weekend Indio music festival back in January, but it followed months of speculation about Kanye Wests stage demands.

The rapper did not join the singer in the end. after discussions broke down.

However, Aris first performance last week featured appearances by Nicki Minaj and a Justin Timberlake-less *NSYNC.
