SAN JOSE – An elderly resident was killed in a two-alarm fire at a mobile home in San Jose late Thursday night, authorities said.

San Jose firefighters were dispatched to the 200 block of El Bosque Drive about 11:45 p.m. They arrived to find a doublewide trailer in flames, said fire Capt. Cesar Martinez.

Martinez said firefighters found the victim inside the home after extinguishing the fire.

No other injuries were reported.

The fire displaced one resident, said Martinez, adding that the Red Cross is providing assistance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

“We do have our arson investigator here and police officers here as well to conduct an investigation,” Martinez said.
