The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame unveiled a plaque honoring soccer star Brandi Chastain that looks nothing like her.
“Its not the most flattering,” Chastain said during the ceremony, according to ESPN. “But its nice.”

And she was not alone. Some on Twitter laughed that the visage looked more like Gary Busey or Mickey Rooney.

Brandi Chastain is one of the most beautiful athletes Ive ever covered. How this became her plaque is a freaking embarrassment for BASHOF. Makes Cristianos look perfect. pic.twitter.com/hta6c0cmSo

Hall of fame vice president Anthony Savicke told the San Jose Mercury News that there was no plans to re-do the plaque and that they are only supposed to be “representations” of the person, not an identical likeness.
Chastain is most well-known as the player who tore off her jersey after scoring the game-winning penalty kick during the 1999 Womens World Cup final.
