It looks like yet another NFL player has found himself in some hot water during the offseason.

ESPN football insider Field Yates is reporting that the New Orleans running back Mark Ingram has been suspended for violating the leagues drug abuse policy.(RELATED: MARSHAWN LYNCH MAY HAVE VIOLATED A FEW RULES IN THIS WEEKS HIGH SCHOOL VISIT)

“The NFL has suspended Saints RB Mark Ingram four games for violating the leagues PED policy,” Yates tweeted.

Its not immediately clear what sort of performance enhancing drug Ingram was using, but the NFL takes this policy pretty seriously.

Many players have turned to various substances to cope with the growing difficulties of competing in the NFL. Former tight end Martellus Bennett recently told a Bleacher Report podcast that he believes an estimated 89 percent of NFL players use marijuana to cope with lingering injuries and to avoid getting hooked on prescription pain killers that are frequently administered by medical professionals.
