Theres been a lot of talk about who Marvel Studios will introduce to the MCU at the end of the Infinity Stones decade-spanning arc.

One hot favourite on the cards (especially now the Disney/Fox deal is done), is Miles Morales Spider-Man.

And if Kevin Feige and Sony are looking to cast the fan favourite anytime soon then theyd best hit-up Joivan Wade.

The rising London star, 24, is making his first Hollywood appearance in The First Purge – a film hes very proud of – but during an exclusive chat with Metro.co.uk today, he revealed that the dream is to play Miles on the big screen.

Aside from being a fan of Spider-Verse favourite, Joivan reckons hed be able to bring that character home as Miles story is one that hes related to on a huge level as a comic book fan.

Id love to play a superhero, he tells us. Im a big fan of putting out what you want to do and chasing it, and trying to attract it – and that [playing a comic book character] has always been it.

Having already been challenged to take on the role of a young African-American in The First Purge, hes had an experience cutting his teeth on the set of The First Purge, and it seems he wants to take that further.

The Londoner explained: I want to play a character which is as far away from myself as possible and a character that isnt even human, a superhero is just that.

Im a huge fan of that character – a HUGE fan, he tells us. Im literally just waiting for them to start producing that one and for my agent to get me in that room, cause I need that one. (Picture: Marvel Studios)

And it seems that Joivan is keeping an eye on the character when it comes to films, as he drops he knows that its only a matter of time that he appears in the MCU given Donald Glover plays his uncle Aaron Davis in Homecoming (the man who is actually responsible for Miles inheriting his super powers in the comics).

The actor also drops in a mention of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, before adding: Its only going to be a certain amount of time before they do the film, and they try to cast someone for that. And, by the time they do that, I think Ill be in the position to do that role.

Joivan freely admits that he may not get the role, but he wants it as its his goal to play challenging characters and tell thoughtful stories – something hes had experience with given his role on EastEnders as the troubled and conflicted Jordan Johnson, the son of Square serial killer Lucas.

Hes not just looking at the popularity of Marvel though – hes a fan.

He means Im represented: Joivan is hoping that his dream role lands in his lap sometime, as he feels he could bring that character home (Picture: Marvel Studios)

Im a huge fan of that character – a HUGE fan. Im literally just waiting for them to start producing that one and for my agent to get me in that room, cause I need that one, he explains. Thats the dream that one!

And it seems that Miles story is something that Joivan has really identified as when we ask him why that character, he replies: I think that just the fact that he exists… means Im represented by Miles.

Weve seen these stories of the same Spider-Man, Peter Parker, for generations, and this is new. Its a completely new spin on things.

His character is someone who is also… you know, hes half Columbian-Portuguese and half African-American like hes got background, hes got juice, hes got Balfour to him – and then at the same time he slips in to this Marvel world, but its coming from a different position.

And if you doubt his passion and love for the character, he adds: That is a character I want to play. I feel like Id be able to relate on a level to bring that character home, and really hone in on that.

So, Mr. Feige, if youre out there reading this… give this mans agent a call NOW!
