Creatorr David Chase confirmed that he has penned the movie, with a working title of The Many Saints Of Newark alongside former Sopranos writer Lawrence Kenner.

The Sopranos was one of the most acclaimed drama of the early 21st century, running on HBO between 1999 and 2007.

It followed the life of Italian-American mobster Tony Soprano, played by James Gandolfini; Gandolfini sadly passed away in 2013.

Warner Bros Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich told Deadline: ‘David is a masterful storyteller and we, along with our colleagues at HBO, are thrilled that he has decided to revisit, and enlarge, the Soprano universe in a feature film.’
