It seems pretty clear we hear Freddie Mercurys vocals blasting out during Bohemian Rhapsody – his voice is so distinctive its hard not to hear – but it turns out its not only him singing the famous tracks.
In fact it all goes a bit deeper than that – what we hear is not just Freddie, and its not just star Rami Malek, its a complex mix.
Rami Malek does indeed also blast out the tunes, so its not all lip syncing, but surprisingly were also hearing another singer all together.
It is an amalgamation of a few voices, Rami told the Metro US. But predominantly it is my hope and the hope of everyone that we will hear as much Freddie as possible. I think that is the goal for all of us.

The other voice heard, according to The New York Times, is that of Canadian singer Marc Matel, blended to create one powerful voice with huge range.

It does confirm though that Rami lip-synced for most of the movie, in contrast to Lady Gaga, who insisted she sing everything live in A Star Is Born to avoid any obvious miming.
The soundtrack for Bohemian Rhapsody is all Queen, with a little Smile thrown in – the band Brian May and Roger Taylor were originally members of. The record includes Queens 20 minute Live Aid set.
The revelation over the vocals comes as its been claimed filming was shut down at Freddie Mercurys home during the making of the biopic.

Ray Edward, who now owns the late singers home, said film crews arrived on the modest three-bed semi-detached house in west London to film for Bohemian Rhapsody. But they had to stop filming because the noise from planes flying overhead was too loud.
While the location of the Feltham home may be plane-spotting heaven for some, the noise coming from aircraft going or coming from Heathrow proved to be too much of disturbance for a film that traces the rise of Queen – and of course their lead singer Freddie.
