A woman and two teenagers were attacked by a walking cane-wielding trio after an argument in a subway car escalated into a fight, police said.

Two men in their 20s and a woman in her 20s approached a 45-year-old woman, an 18-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy on a southbound C train heading to the Jay Street-MetroTech station in Brooklyn around 3:45 p.m. on June 16, the NYPD said.

After a dispute between the two groups escalated, the two men in their 20s started hitting the 45-year-old woman and the two teens with walking canes, and the woman in her 20s started punching them, police said.

The three attackers fled the train when it pulled into the Jay Street-MetroTech station, the NYPD said. Police havent yet arrested the attackers.

Police didn't say whether the attackers knew the victims.
