Tulloch Fire in Tuolumne County grows to 90 acres

JAMESTOWN, Calif. – Firefighters are battling a 90-acre grass fire in Tuolumne County, authorities said.

The Tulloch Fire ignited shortly before 4 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Tulloch Road and Highway 108, southwest of the Tulloch Reservoir, according to Cal Fire. The fire was initially reported at 50 acres but had grown to 90 acres by about 6 p.m.

Cal Fire, in a tweet, said the fire was 60 percent contained as of about 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
