Vox Lux trailer: Natalie Portman and Jude Law star in this captivating drama.

Natalie Portman is all set to woo the audience in her upcoming pop-music thriller flick, Vox Lux. The trailer leaves us with a sense of intrigue about Portmans characterisation, which evokes a lot of curiosity. Actor-turned-director Brady Corbet has directed the movie and the trailer looks extremely promising. Portman is playing Celeste, an intrepid pop star born out of a tumultuous and a tragic past.

The compelling trailer, without giving away much information, gives us the taste of what kind of tone to expect from the film. It sheds light on Portmans Celeste, who looks strong and unabashed. In the intro scene, Celeste is in conversation with a journalist about her new album, of which she says “Its about rebirth”. The inquisitive trailer hints at the movies powerful, jarring interpretation of the contemporary world we live in today, and how Celeste deals with the adversaries. It keeps the viewers hooked till the end by highlighting Portmans vivacious performance and a high-intensity euphonic background score.

As per the official synopsis, the film is about two sisters played by Portman and Stacy Martin who survive a violent tragedy in the year 1999 and record a song about it. In 2017, the 31-year old Celeste (Portman) is struggling to stabilise her career.

Speaking of ear-pleasing background music, the musical drama will also feature original songs written by Sia and a score from Scott Walker.

The film also stars Jude Law, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin and Jennifer Ehle among others. Vox Lux is scheduled to release on December 7.
