We Came As Romans share devastation as singer Kyle Pavone dies aged 28

We Came As Romans have paid a touching tribute to their singer, Kyle Pavone, who has died at the age of 28.

The metalcore band confirmed Pavones death on Saturday and expressed their devastation at the vocalists sudden passing.

A statement released on behalf of We Came As Romans said: Today, music lost another great with the passing of Kyle Pavone of We Came as Romans. Kyles tragic loss came too early in his life and those of his bandmates. All are devastated by his passing.

We will miss his smiles, his sincerity, his concern for others, and his impressive musical talent. In lieu of flowers, we will provide information regarding charity donations this coming week. The family and the band wish to thank their fans and the music community for all of their love and support as they navigate their grief.

A cause of death is yet to be released.

According to TMZ, Pavone was taken to a hospital in Michigan on 19 August and had remained there until his death on Saturday morning.

Tributes have flooded in for Pavone from fans and peers alike. Pavones bandmate, Joshua Moore, shared a photo of them together with the caption: I love this picture so much because it shows you how Ill always remember you. The craziest, goofiest, most funny and lovable kid.

I miss you so much.

Alex Lofton, a friend of the late singers tweeted: RIP Kyle Pavone you will be missed. I remember you taking me on the bus and playing me the UWWGTB first mixes. Sad day in music, thoughts go out to the family and the rest of the dudes.

A longtime fan shared the impact of Kyles music, tweeting: I cant believe Kyle Pavone is gone, We Came As Romans were so huge for me when I was younger and I probably never wouldve really gotten into this scene if it werent for them. RIP.

Another fan said: Walking with a heavy heart today. In absolute shock to hear about the passing of the extremely memorable, & inarguably generous Kyle Pavone. My sincere condolences go out to Josh, Andy, David & just everyone in the WCAR camp.

Pavone had been a member of We Came As Romans since 2005 when they formed as classmates at Troy Athens High School.

In August, Pavone tweeted the lyrics to their song Promise, which include: Will i be remembered or will i be lost in loving eyes.

The band were best known for the songs Hope, The World I Used to Know and I Knew You Were Trouble. Their 2013 album, Tracing Back Roots, peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200 chart.
