New charges have been brought against singer R Kelly, leading to his arrest on Thursday in Chicago.
A spokesperson for the US Attorneys Office of the Northern District of Illinois, Joseph D. Fitzpatrick, confirmed the singer had been arrested on a 13-count indictment.
A five-count indictment from the Eastern District of New York was also issued on Friday.

What are the new charges being brought against R Kelly?
Fitzpatrick confirmed (via New York Times) the singers indictment includes charges of child pornography, enticement of a minor, and obstruction of justice.
It is thought that around 20 videos of Kelly allegedly having sex with underage girls were handed to law enforcement.
Meanwhile, the other indictment claims Kelly and members of his entourage recruited women and girls to engage in illegal sexual activity with the singer.

According to the indictment, obtained by NBC, his entourage would help facilitate this by inviting girls backstage and even – on occasion – organising for them to travel to see Kelly.
Kelly allegedly had a strict set of rules which included prohibiting the girls from leaving their room without permission and looking at other men.
The court document also claims the women and girls were required to call Kelly daddy.
What has R Kelly been charged with so far?
Prior to these indictments, Kelly was facing a total of 21 criminal charges.
