Sundance Film Festival honours the work of American and international independent film makers.
Kicking off this week, it lasts for just over one week and is based in North America.

This year’s festival runs from Thursday 18 January through to Sunday 28 January.
Where is it?
The Sundance Fil Festival takes place annually in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Can I follow it online?
It typically has around 50,000 attendees, making it the largest independent film festival in the United States.
However, hopping on a plane to Utah might be a little too much effort, so why not just watch it online?

Day One Press Conference
Thursday, January 18, 1 p.m. MT
Kick-off the Festival with Robert Redford, Keri Putnam, and John Cooper.
Cinema Cafe
A daily series of informal chats beginning at 11:00 am or 11:30 a.m. MT each day. This year’s program includes conversations between will.i.am and Kevin Smith, Ethan Hawke and Rupert Everett, Ira Glass and Miranda July, and plenty of others.
