To some, Christmas wouldnt be Christmas without Buddy the Elf – so its a good job hes going to be on TV this festive season.
Thanks to ITV, fans of Will Ferrells Elf will get to watch him in action this December after striking a deal to air the movie.
And this is quite a big deal as the festive favourite hasnt been on TV in December for years and years and years.
So when is Elf on TV?
Elf will air on Sunday 16 December at 6pm on ITV.
Elf tells the story of Buddy the Elf who is accidentally taken to the North Pole in Santas sack when hes a baby, then growing up amongst all of Santas elves. He decides to travel to New York City to find his real father and hilarity ensues.

It was first released in 2003, making this year its 15th anniversary.
Fans are delighted at the news, and rightly so:
Great to see that ITV are showing Elf on 16th December – hasn't been shown on any UK Channel in years – remember Channel 4 used to show it every year at a point until Sky Movies had the rights #elf #christmas

Good to see that ITV will be showing #Elf, one of my favourite Christmas films. Looking forward to watching it again in a few weeks time. https://t.co/J0chDkG4A9
