One of Emmerdales most controversial storylines ever has unfolded in recent months, as Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) continues her horrific abuse of teenager Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).
While the story has left fans of the soap shocked, things have been gathering pace over the past couple of weeks after teenager Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) discovered what was going on.
Shes now recorded Maya admitting that she and Jacob have slept together, and is blackmailing her.
But does this mean that Mayas actions are finally about to be uncovered? Viewers have been waiting ages for the teacher to get her much-deserved comeuppance – but just when will it happen?

When is Maya caught in Emmerdale?
Those who have been waiting for Mayas downfall dont have too much longer to hang on, as she will finally be caught out next week.

With Maya left terrified by what Liv might do, and reeling from the fact Jacob has been sent off to Portugal, she resorts to selling her car to sell the £5K needed to keep her blackmailer quiet.
David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) wants to know why she is selling it, but she tells him its to pay for her divorce – leaving David feeling guilty and telling Jacob he plans to propose to her with Vals ring (unaware Jacob sold that to also raise blackmail money).
However, the crunch comes when David and Maya go clubbing – and she tells him she knows about the proposal and doesnt want it.
Davids left heartbroken and seeks solace in ex-wife Tracy (Amy Walsh) – but Maya storms out of the club when she sees them kissing, straight into Jacobs arms, except they are seen by one of the girls from the village.
The games up for Maya, but what happens next?
Louisa Clein explains: One of the girls catches Maya and Jacob and goes and tells the others. The reaction of the girls is one of complete and utter shock, then comes an unbelievable fury.
There is also the sense of guilt that they have let him down, that theyve been played by Maya. They start piecing together the previous months and suddenly it all fits.
She added: Because of their characters, they all react in different ways but they all have their own personal agenda as to how they would like to deal with Maya.
