EGOT holder Whoopi Goldberg has added her name to The List, the drama from Tyler Perry thats being mounted at Paramount Players. She will join Tiffany Haddish, Tika Sumpter, and Omari Hardwick in the film due out November 2.
Written, produced and directed by Perry, the film follows a woman (Haddish) who gets released from prison and reunited with her sister, who is forced to accept that she might be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend.
The pic marks Goldbergs first studio feature since appearing in a pair of 2014: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Chris Rocks Top Five. Its also a reunion for Goldberg and Perry as The View co-host starred in his 2010 drama For Colored Girls.
