Krept and Konan to replace J Hus at Wireless after knife arrest

Krept and Konan are replacing J Hus at Wireless festival following his arrest for knife possession.

J Hus was due to perform during this weekends festival, but it has now been removed from the line up and Krept and Konan have been approached as replacements.

A source revealed to Metro.co.uk: Wireless were waiting to see how Hus legal case would proceed and though hes been released on bail were forced to replace him with Krept & Konan who are equally popular.

Wireless have since said: Due to unforeseen circumstances J Hus and Fredo will no longer be performing.

He was previously removed from the line up of last weekends TRNSMT festival and replaced by Gerry Cinnamon.

The 23-year-old rapper was arrested on 21 June in East London after a vehicle carrying him was stopped by a marked police car.

Police confirmed his arrest to Metro.co.uk in a statement using his real name Momodou Jallow, adding that he was remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on Friday, 22 June.

The occupants of the vehicle were searched and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a knife/bladed article, the statement read, before confirming that the rapper was charged.

Responding to news of the charge, fellow rapper Lethal Bizzle wrote: J Hus. The boy has been to hell and back. Being stabbed is a life changing experience. Im sure he felt he needed to protect himself. I hope the judge takes all into account. Im gonna sit with him at some point and have a grown chat. Hes a star, needs to move different.

Big man ting. Its mine and other olders responsibility to help coach the younger generation. We wasnt lucky enough to have this option. We are the blue print, and we need to help guide them not to make the mistakes we did.
