Martin Fowler (James Bye) was last seen in EastEnders getting into a black cab with Stacey (Lacey Turner) following his wifes attack on Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in The Arches. However, with daughter Bex (Jasmine Armfield) unable to cope, she attempts to take her own life in the coming episodes, but will Martin make a return to the Square as a result?

Bex has been under an immense amount of stress over the past couple of months, and with mum Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) determined to see her off to Uni in style with a surprise party, she finds herself overwhelmed once more.

After making a speech at her going-away party, she returns home and, with the stress of everything that shes had to deal with weighing on her — not to mention her fear of leaving Walford — she finds herself unable to cope, and — unbeknown to those enjoying themselves at the party — shes planning to take her own life.

— BBC EastEnders (@bbceastenders) September 27, 2019

EastEnders has dropped its autumn trailer and there is a lot to dissect in the three minute video with Sharon Mitchells (Letitia Dean) feud with Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) ending in disaster, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) and Martin Fowler (James Bye) ending up up to their necks in crime and the debut of the Panesar family.

As the autumn storylines explode, Mels exit is just around the corner – and she promises Mel that all of this will soon be over. And by promising on her life, is she sealing her own tragic fate? The trailer shows Phil (Steve McFadden) and Louisa (Tilly Keeper) oblivious while Sharon and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) fear the worst.

Aside from this almighty clash, Bens relationship with Callum Highway (Tony Clay) continues to develop – forcing Callum to finally stand up to his homophobic father. And Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) is moving on too – into possibly her most disastrous relationship yet.
