Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) is due to mark the anniversary of her daughter Hollys (Sophie Powles) death in what are sure to be some tear-jerking scenes in Emmerdale.

In recent scenes, Moira spotted her son Matty (Ash Palmisciano) smoking a joint.

This had a very strong impact on her, as it reminded her of the way Holly died.

So what exactly happened to Holly, and what does that have to do with Emma Bartons (Gillian Kearney) murder?

Why did Moira kill Emma in Emmerdale?
Moira offed the suicidal Emma after she goading Moira with a view to getting the firey farmers wife to kill her.

Eventually, Emmas cruel words about Moiras daughter Hollys death did the trick, and Moira momentarily snapped.

That was all it took for Moira to push Emma off a bridge.

Holly herself died of a drug overdose after a long struggle with addiction.

Emmerdale has revealed a brand new image and fresh details on what fans can expect from their spectacular October episodes this autumn as they bring two long running storylines to a cataclysmic climax while also starting a brand new chapter for a favourite couple.

There are explosive scenes as Cain finally discovers that Moira has been having an affair with Nate. And hell hath no fury like a Cain Dingle scorned. Realising the dire circumstances theyre in, Robert and Aaron decide to go on the run from the hefty sentence they fear Robert faces.

Breda McQueen (Moya Brody) left the nation in shock when she murdered Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) earlier this year in Hollyoaks and disposed of his remains in an undisclosed location. However, the truth about her crimes could be set to out, as Harrys body is finally discovered in upcoming scenes — and its all thanks to Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard).

Tony cant stop thinking about the fact that Harry is dead, and he struggles to cope as a result. With nobody else to talk to, he opens up to Breda, telling her that he feels as if hes grieving for not only Harry, but for all his kids, as hell never see any of them again.

After their conversation, Breda feels for Tony and thus she agrees to take him to visit Harrys final resting place. They set off into the woods, and the villainous granny points out where she buried the young mans body to his grieving father — and Tony is left distraught as a result.

On Tony having the opportunity to visit Harrys final resting place, actor Nick Pickard said: Its horrible for him and he breaks down. Hes still got to be good because Breda says to him that if he makes any noise shes taking him straight back to the pig pen and he fears for his life, so he has to play her a bit, but hes in pieces.

Its his sons final resting place – he knows hes dead now – maybe until that point he thought there might be a little bit of hope that hes still alive, but hes dead and he breaks down on the ground and has a good old cry.

Filled with emotion, Tony prays that someone will come along and discover his sons body, which gives him an idea, so he formulates a plan to ensure that such a wish will come true.

Later in the week, Goldie (Chelsee Healey) stumbles upon the grave. The question is: will Tony face ramifications from Breda for what hes done?

Jennifer Metcalfe is trading in the mean streets of Hollyoaks for Australias Gold Coast by joining the line-up for Im a Celebrity, according to reports.

The Mercedes McQueen actress is reportedly about to sign on the dotted line to take up the challenge for this years series, facing snakes and creepy crawlies within the camp.

Hey, itll at least be safer than the deadly streets of Chester, the rate theyre going!

Jen is perfect for the jungle, shes really funny and attractive and she loves a challenge, a source told The Sun Online.

However shes apparently yet to sign the documents just yet – so heres hoping!

The stars new role could come as Mercedes goes on a downward spiral in Hollyoaks – with hints that she could even be leaving the soap.

Turning to drugs and starting an affair with Liam (Jude Monk McGowan), things have gone from bad to worse as son Bobby caught them in the act.

Current rumours for the show include Love Islands Amy Hart, Freddie Flintoff, and Coronation Streets Alan Halsall.
