After the loss of soul legend Aretha Franklin people are remembering her life and incredible voice.

It seems like there wasnt a song she couldnt make her own, and this is evidenced by how she sang Nessun Dorma.

When Luciano Pavarotti – a friend of Aretha – was too unwell to sing at the Grammy Awards in 1998, Franklin stepped in.

She sung Nessun Dorma as Pavarotti was due to, rather than her own track, and it brought the house down.

Over a billion people watched the performance live, and Celine Dion was stunned at how Aretha hit the high B notes without breaking a sweat.

It wouldnt be the last time shed perform it either, as she did so again in Philadelphia at a show for Pope Francis.

The Festival of Families performance in 2015 proved once again how amazing her vocal prowess is, and how much she deserves to go down in history as one of the greatest of our time.
