Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has replaced Paul Pogba in Frances squad for their Euro 2020 qualifying clashes against Albania and Andorra.

Guendouzi, 20, has had an impressive start to the season, starting all four of Arsenals matches in the Premier League, and produced an outstanding performance in the sides 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Sunday.

The youngster has nine caps for Frances Under-21s but has never been called up to the senior side.

Though Pogba played 90 minutes of Manchester Uniteds 1-1 draw with Southampton, he has been forced to withdraw from Didier Deschamps squad with an ankle injury.

Pogba was seen limping after the final whistle at St Marys and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping the World Cup-winner returns to full fitness after the international break.

On Monday morning, Pogba had scans on his problem ankle, but the severity of the injury remains unclear.

The world champions play host to Albania at the Stade de France on Saturday and return to face Andorra the following Tuesday.
