Chelsea have confirmed that Michael Hector will leave the club on a permanent basis to sign for west London rivals Fulham when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The 27-year-old has signed a two and a half year contract with Fulham with an option for a further year and the transfer fee between the clubs has been undisclosed.
Hector joined Chelsea from Reading in a shock £4m deal on transfer deadline day in 2015 before being immediately loaned back out to the Royals for the 2015-16 campaign.
The Jamaica international then spent the subsequent three seasons on loan elsewhere, with Eintracht Frankfurt, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday, failing to make a single appearance for Chelsea as a result.
A number of Chelsea players have been given a blank slate to showcase their qualities under Frank Lampard, but Hector clearly did not feature in his plans and has been allowed to move on.

Unusually, he will spend the first half of the season training with Fulham, rather than Chelsea, but will be unable to play for them until the deal has officially gone through on January 1st.
