Death danger for Luke tonight as Phelan strikes again in Corrie

Luke Britton is dicing with death in a dramatic double episode of Coronation Street as he makes some unsettling discoveries about killer Pat Phelan and prepares to bring him to justice. Luke has been digging deep about the whereabouts of missing Andy Carver – who was murdered by Phelan. And now Phelan could be set to strike again as Luke heads to the police.

After realising that he has been duped by Phelan into thinking that Andy is travelling, Luke heads to confront the builder at the site near to where the bodies of Andy and Vinny Ashford are concealed. Phelan is unnerved as he is unable to bat away all of Luke’s questions and when Luke makes it clear that he doesn’t believe the villain, he has to think fast.

Phelan lashes out with a rock and attacks Luke but Luke manages to overpower his adversary and punch him to the ground before making off. Panicking that his web of lies is about to come undone and destroy him, Phelan pursues Luke in his van and a car chase ensues.

What becomes of them both beyond this is a closely guarded secret but fans know exactly what Phelan is capable of and how far he is prepared to go in order to avoid having his crimes exposed.

Will he catch up with Luke and make him his next hostage – or worse? Or can Luke outrun Phelan and finally bring him down?

Coronation Street airs these dramatic scenes on Friday 5th January at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
