Coronation Street spoilers: Sally Metcalfe to take drastic measures as trial takes a turn?

The trial of Coronation Streets Sally Metcalfe begins and things are looking dire from the outset, and Sophies plan to help save her could have fire consequences.

On the morning of the trial, Gina and Tim are no shows, leaving sally hurt that her family have abandoned her just when she needs them.

Things then go from bad to worse when Duncan takes to the stand and paints himself as an innocent victim conned by a ruthless Sally. He claims she coerced him into committing fraud, and his lies have her at breaking point. How will she react?

As things progress, Paula tries to get Sally to remember what she did on her birthday as Duncan lies that they were together in a hotel. Kevin has a brainwave – he remembers she spent her birthday visiting Jack in hospital.

Buoyed that they might be getting somewhere, Paula and Sophie attempt to track down the CCTV footage, only to learn itll take days to get – and thats time they just dont have.

Dismayed, Sophie desperately tries to think of a way around getting the evidence quicker, until she stumbles on an idea – she tries to convince Sally to pretend to be ill to delay the case.

Will Sally put her freedom in jeopardy to go along with Sophies plan?
