Kat Moon finds her life turned upside down in devastating EastEnders scenes tonight as she makes a shocking discovery about her late dad Charlie Slater that sends her over the edge. Determined to make something of herself, Kat puts the hurt of Alfie not bringing the boys to see her behind her and sets off to do some preparation for her cab license.

But when she meets up with faces from Charlies past at his old haunts, what starts off as warm reminiscence soon becomes something harrowing as she is hit with an almighty bombshell – and disaster then follows!

Kat meets an old friend of her dad Charlie when she heads to an old cabbie tea hut that he used to go to. Despite getting off on the wrong foot with him, Kat is soon getting on well with Tony when he realises who she is and he takes her to one of Charlies favourite pubs where they meet someone else who knew him, Maurice.

But what Maurice has to tell Kat knocks her for six. As she presses his weird behaviour, he responds with a shocking bombshell that leaves her distraught. She flees the pub in turmoil and as she rides her moped back to the Square, she runs down an old man and is thrown from the bike.

She flees the scene of the crime and is left feeling worse than ever and her family are wondering what is playing on her mind as she is a shadow of her normal self.

Stacey Fowler finds her drinking in E20 and, after a heart to heart, Stacey gives her food for thought on the whole situation but Kat is only set to sink lower into despair. She later heads into the pub, which is rife with debate and angsty conversation over Ruby Allens rape ordeal, and causes a dramatic scene.
