Johnny Depp sued over claims he attacked location manager on Biggie Smalls film

A lawsuit has been filed against Johnny Depp, claiming he attacked a crew member on the set of his new Biggie Smalls film.

The lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Gregg Brooks, who claimed during production for the film Depp had taken over as director during a scene that involved two of his friends, and that he insisted the cameras keep rolling despite the productions location permit ending.

When location manager Brooks told the films director Brad Furman that scene had to wrap, a source on set claimed that Brad interjected: Tell that to Johnny Depp!

But when the manager told Depp, it was claimed that the actor approached the staffer and screamed: Who are you? You have no right!

The lawsuit now claims that Depp punched Brooks twice in the rib cage and when he didnt react, Depp screamed: I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now.

It has been alleged that Depps bodyguards then removed the actor from the set.

Unspecified damages have been sought in the files.

After the altercation first came to light in May Furman defended Depp in a statement which claimed that the actor is a consummate professional, great collaborator and a supporter of other artists.

Furman said in a statement: He always treats the crew and people around him with the utmost respect. Movies can be stressful, and nonevents often become exaggerated. We all love stories — there isnt one here.

Two weeks prior in late April two of Depps former bodyguards sued the actor, as they describe how his life spiralled into chaos in the past two years.

Security professionals Eugene Arreola and Miguel Sanchez are suing for a range of reasons, including unpaid wages and wrongful termination.

The duo said that between 2016 and 2018, things began to spiral toward chaos, adding that they found themselves in situations that required more than what a bodyguard would be expected to do.

More specifically, Arreola and Sanchez allege that they were asked repeatedly to drive vehicles that contained illegal substances, open containers and minors.

In the lawsuit, they also allege that they were forced to protect [Depp] from himself and his vices while in public, becoming caretakers for him.

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Depp for comment.
