Johnny Manziels Football Future Might Take An Unexpected Turn

Sports

Johnny Manziel might spurn Canada in favor of the Alliance of American Football league if he doesnt get signed by an NFL team this off-season.

This theory was first pushed out by TSNs David Naylor.

Apparently things are quiet on the @JManziel2 front, with @Ticats patiently waiting in wings. Only hurdle now seems would Johnny rather play in Alliance of American Football spring league in 19, which would allow for an NFL return that fall, instead of 2 full seasons in the CFL?

Im going to be honest here. Ive actually been thinking about this for awhile. Playing in the AAF and not the CFL might be the better option for Manziel. Yes, hell have to wait a little longer, but he wont have to commit to the CFL for two seasons. If Manziel thinks hes ready, he shouldnt wait two years north of the border.

I have no idea what kind of salaries will be paid out in the AAF. Probably less than what he could get in Canada, but you never know. Maybe the owners would throw him some extra cash in order to secure him.

Decision time is coming up, and I cant wait to see where he plays next. The football world is simply better when Johnny Manziel is in it.
